Calc84 Calculation History: Privacy-First Activity Tracking

The Calc84 History Manager is a powerful feature that tracks your mathematical journey across all calculator tools. Whether you're solving equations, plotting graphs, performing matrix operations, or converting units, every calculation is automatically saved for your reference. Best of all, your data stays 100% private with client-side storage.

Miqdad Qaisrani

Educational Software Engineer & Creator of Calc84

Miqdad is a full-stack engineer and cybersecurity student specializing in educational technology (EdTech). He engineered this secure, client-side history manager to ensure students can track complex mathematical workflows across sessions without compromising their personal data to external servers.

🔒 Privacy & Data Management

100% Client-Side Storage. Your math history is stored locally on your device using browser LocalStorage and never sent to our servers. This ensures maximum privacy and instant loading speeds, even when offline. Your data persists across browser sessions and survives page refreshes.

⚙️ How it Works

Calc84 uses high-performance local caching to persist your last 100 calculations. Data is stored in your browser's LocalStorage for instant access.

🎛️ Data Control

You have full control. Use the Export button to save data to CSV/JSON, or Clear All to permanently wipe your local history.

🔍 Search & Filter

Quickly find past calculations with powerful search. Filter by activity type or date range to locate specific work.

🔒 How Your History Stays Accurate

The Calc84 History Manager is built to keep your saved work reliable:

  • Local-first storage: entries are written directly to your browser's storage, with no server round-trip to corrupt or drop data
  • Automated checks: an internal test suite verifies that entries save, load, and export correctly
  • User feedback: refined based on reports from students and teachers

Frequently asked questions about calculation history

Is my calculation history stored on your servers?

No. Your calculation history is stored 100% locally in your browser using LocalStorage. It never leaves your device, ensuring complete privacy. Even when you're offline, your history remains accessible. This privacy-first approach means only you can see your mathematical work.

How do I export my calculation history?

Click the 'Export' button in the top toolbar. You can choose between CSV (for Excel/spreadsheets), JSON (for data backup), or TXT (plain text) formats. You can also include or exclude timestamps and activity types. This feature is perfect for creating study logs or sharing work with teachers.

Can I recall a previous calculation result?

Yes! Click on any calculation in your history to recall it. For recallable items (calculations, conversions), the result will be loaded back into the main calculator's Ans variable. This makes it easy to continue working with previous results without retyping.

What types of activities are tracked?

Calc84 tracks: mathematical calculations, graphing functions, matrix operations, statistics analysis, geometry calculations, unit conversions, AI solver queries, and TI-BASIC program executions. Each activity type is color-coded for easy visual identification.

How long is my history stored?

Your last 100 activities are stored indefinitely (or until you clear your browser data). The storage persists across browser sessions and survives page refreshes. You can manually clear history anytime using the 'Clear All' button. There's no time limit - your data stays as long as you want it.
