Yes, the core calculator is completely free. Calc84 is an independent educational project. To support hosting and development costs, we may display non‑intrusive advertisements in the future, but the full mathematical toolset will always remain free for students and teachers. No paywalls, ever.
Does it work offline? +
Yes, for most tools. Once loaded or installed as a PWA (Progressive Web App), Calc84's core calculator, graphing, matrix, and programming tools run offline. A few tools need a one-time connection to load their math engine. The AI Math Tutor requires an internet connection.
Is this an official TI-84 calculator? +
No. Calc84 is an independent educational alternative created by Miqdad Qaisrani. TI-84 Plus CE is a registered trademark of Texas Instruments Incorporated. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Texas Instruments. Calc84 is designed to provide similar functionality for students who cannot access physical hardware.
Can I save my work? +
Yes. Your calculation history, variables (A-Z, ?), lists (L1-L6), matrices, and TI-BASIC programs are automatically saved to your browser's local storage. They persist between sessions and are private to your device — we never see your data.
